Indian PC-1
The PC-1
designation was applied by
Indian military researchers
who were looking for the hottest chile extracts to make pepper
sprays and powders for riot control. The
Indian PC-1 is a capsicum annuum.
Several years
ago, the
PC-1 was rumored to be India's hottest
cultivated pepper. This was proven incorrect and it was found
that PC-1, test grown in New Mexico, measured just under 100,000 SHU.
This puts it in the border heat range between Thai and Habanero, plenty
hot
enough to get your attention.
Hotter
than the Aji Limon, not nearly as hot as the Red
Savina or Bhut Jolokia. The PC-1 has a different flavor profile which
makes it a perfect addition to a variety of cooking styles. Great used
with Mexican, Thai, Oriental or Indian dishes. The PC1- is a very tasty
and versatile pepper. This is a must have pepper for your collection.
Dried, crushed and offered in double sealed in 40 gram packets. Store
your Indian PC-1 in our Maxibottles for
use with your Maximill.
